St. Edmunds Charity are sad to say that one of our long-standing trustees Glenn Wareing has now stepped down from his role but we thank him for the commitment, support and advice he has given to the charity over the years.

With Glenn stepping down it left St. Ed's with a vacancy to fill but we are pleased to say that we have Gayle Bradbury joining us as a new trustee.
-
Over the past four weeks we have had two successful move-ons to independent and semi-independent accommodation, and we have welcomed two new residents to fill those voids that those departures created.

Over the next six weeks we will be facilitating two client workshops, one on Cuckooing Awareness, and the other on the benefits of meaningful daytime / evening activities such as education, training, volunteering, and employment.

Four of the self-contained flats at the Resettlement Project were completely
redecorated prior to four new residents moving in.

Six new residents in total have moved into St. Edmunds Charity since the end of June, and we are pleased to say that they have all settled in nicely.

A staff workshop on Cuckooing has taken place.

A member of our staff team facilitated a Fire Safety Awareness group work session with our residents at the end of July.

Upcoming client group work sessions are What Now? / What Next, Cuckooing Awareness, and How to Avoid Procrastination

We've started to roll out the Swap-to-Stop smoking programme, and we're happy to say that ten of our residents are now taking part

Its a sad but happy fairwell to residents who have now moved on and are in their own accomodation a ndw beginning and exciting times ahead as we wish them good luck in their future.

We will be welcoming four new residents to St Ed's after the successful move-on of four of our longer-term stay residents who have completed our intensive housing management and move on programme.
We have completed a Behavioural Activation workshop with our residents.
One of our residents will be assembling a living wall herb garden at St. Ed's.
We will be facilitating a Fire Safety Awareness group work session for our residents.
One of our residents is working with professionals to finalise a play about the time when he experienced homelessness - the play is called Domino - watch out for it!
We will have four accommodation units ready for new residents ready for resettlent

St. Ed's will be participating in the Swap to Stop sheme, a public health initiative aimed at helping smokers to quit by encouraging them to switch from cigarettes to vaping
