Michelle Morgan

Senior Housing Support Worker

I have recently joined St Edmunds Charity in April 2023 after spending the last 25 years working in the social care field.

Having gained my degree in Social work I have worked in both statutory and non-statutory settings inclusive of:
Substance Misuse, Children and Families, Looked after Services and Homelessness provisions.

My passion is to support individuals throughout recovery
onto the move on transition into independent accommodation.

Here at St Edmunds I work alongside service users and partner

agencies to provide services that meet the needs of the individuals we support throughout the resettlement process, together we overcome challenges.

Within my role as a senior housing support worker I aim high, aspiring to achieve the very best outcomes for our service users.

I see potential in everyone and encourage service users to achieve their own goals, dreams and ambitions. I aspire to the highest standards of professionalism, respecting everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances and view everyone as an individual with their own personal journey.

As a team we will always listen to and value people’s views.
As an organisation we break down the barriers people experiencing homelessness face and try new and innovative ways to provide long-term solutions and reduce the isolation of homelessness by encouraging engagement in local community resources.

I feel privileged to represent an organisation which is always willing to take a new approach, learning from what works (and what doesn’t) and use this to guide our work.
